The Ancient Phoenecians -

Braving musical shoals, tempests, and terrors, today's Ancient Phoenecians venture forth to the four corners of the melodic world. Their repertoire includes favorites from the American songbook, as well as western swing, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, classic country, truckin’ songs, and some latino favorites. Keep an ear peeled for some original tunes, too. They enjoy singing in three and four part harmony. These musical mariners like to challenge themselves and their listeners to go beyond the limited harmonic and melodic structures of the sadly declining modern modal world. Hale Ceasar’s salad!

Roman Pieters, David Allen, and Allen Vella met as next door neighbors in - you guessed it - Phoenecia, NY. Discovering their shared musical conundrums they formed a picking circle over twenty years ago. Dave “Ace” Case and drummer Stephen Olenski now join the progenitors to form … The Ancient Phoenecians!
